The Inseparable Mother and Daughter

Demeter was Persephone's mother. Demeter loved Persephone dearly, and she cared for her well. Together throughout the months, they took care of the vegetation of the universe. Demeter harvested the crops while Persephone took care of the flowers. They worked well and made the world beautiful. They were a productive pair, and they took pride in their work.

Demeter was the goddess of the cornfield, harvesting, and agriculture. She was caring to everyone, and always thought of other people first. Her parents were Cronus and Rhea, and her sibilings were Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Hera, and Hestia. Demeter means "barely-mother". Her Roman name is Ceres, which is where we get the word "cereal" from. Zeus was very attached to Demeter. He always blessed her with rainfall when her fields were parched. Out of his fondness for her, he gifted her with two children, a boy and a girl. Persephone was her beautiful baby girl.

Persephone was often known for being Demeter's helper in looking after the universe's vegetation. Persephone had many half brothers and sisters, Hermes, Hephaestus, Ares, Apollo, Dionysus, Athena and Artemis. Her Roman name was Proserpina. Persephone was raised around flowers, and she even resembled a flower herself. Her body was as flexible as a stem of a plant, and her skin was smooth like petals. Apparently, she also had pansy eyes. Persephone was a mystical character, and she was very spiritual. Persephone was visonary and very creative as well.
